If you are suffering from stress, anxiety, sleep problems, low self esteem, fears, phobia, self harming habits (for example nail biting, hair pulling, teeth grinding) or you want to lose weight or stop smoking hypnotherapy can help. Hypnotherapy uses the power of suggestion for beneficial change.

How does Hypnotherapy work?

Sessions are one hour long. Depending on the issue you want to work through, you will need to commit to a number of sessions which will be discussed and determined during the initial assessment session. During the following sessions, you will be directed through a series of mental images and suggestions intended to change behaviours and relieve symptoms.

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation and focused attention. It is common to feel nervous about a hypnotherapy session if it is your first time. Hypnosis may conjure up stereotyped images like in the movies. In reality, hypnosis bears little resemblance to these images: Hypnosis is not similar to sleep, you cannot be hypnotized against your will, the hypnotist cannot control your actions while you are under hypnosis and you are most likely to remember the session when you wake up from hypnosis.
